Diana has taught at TPS since 2002 and has written the curriculum for Writer’s Workshop, English 2, and Poetry Through Lyrics. She also teaches Literature Survey and Advanced Composition.
Diana has a passion for working with young writers and consulting with homeschool families worldwide, particularly teens preparing for college writing. Her approach to teaching writing as an art form took root in her background as professional musician.
After changing career paths from music, Diana taught writing in Oregon and Virginia until 1998 when she became a full-time mother. Since then Diana has loved teaching and conducting writing seminars at conferences, international schools, and homeschool co-ops in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.
In recent years Diana has been consulting with schools in Europe and Asia about their writing programs and has trained national staff to raise writing standards and practices.
Married since 1992, Diana and her husband Lyle reside in St. Petersburg, Russia, where they are on staff with Church Resource Ministries, serving and training church leadership and developing a discipleship movement. They have three children, Lydia, and sons, Kerith and Simon.
